A A collective formed of three experienced and talented female artist/performer/makers.
We first created work together for Todmorden Lamplighter 2018 - Zazelle and The Great Farini has since toured to other festivals, including Paisley Halloween Festival in 2019.
In 2019 we were commissioned to create a piece of illuminated street theatre for Stellar Projects Nightfall Festival in Stockton-on-Tees - The Hare and the Moon is a gentle and playful two character interactive walkabout.
We have recently been awarded a commission to create a piece for Spot on Lancashire, this is in development for performance in summer 2020 and does not feature on our websites yet.
Sandra McCracken is an established artist and educator, predominantly working with Handmade Parade and Plunge Boom. She has created parade art with Walk the Plank for Manchester Day Parade and interactive work with 509 Arts. Sandra has participated in Festival of Thrift, Hull Freedom Festival, Bluedot, Greenwich and Docklands International Festival and Just So Festival, amongst others.
Rowan Taylor is an artist and maker with a particular interest and experience in carnival and is currently an associate artist with Global Grooves, Handmade Parade and Cabasa Carnival Arts. She has designed work for Chester Zoo - The Lanterns. Rowan has also designed and produced work for parades and walkabouts at Bluedot Festival, Cotton Clouds, Carfest and Kendal Calling.
Mel Daniels is a skilled freelance performer, consultant and creator. She has performed regularly with Global Grooves and Plungeboom in a range of festival settings. Mel has also acted as an education consultant for Plungeboom and is experienced in creating a range of schools workshops.
